GRANBY, QC, CAN – July 25, 2017 – In front of a packed house and clear skies, the Super DIRTcar Series started a successful Quebec swing at Autodrome Granby as Matt Sheppard had a dominant run to get his second win of the season on the tour. Sheppard held off Pat Ward and Brett Hearn to score the victory while Peter Britten and Larry Wight rounded out the top-five.

HARTFORD, OH – July 20, 2017 – Peter Britten drove from the 20th starting position and then used a slidejob in turns three and four to take the lead from Matt Sheppard following a lap 54 restart. The Brisbane, Queensland, Australia native led the final 46 laps and held off Stewart Friesen on a restart with 12 laps to go to earn the first Super DIRTcar Series win of his career in the Buckeye Ground Pounder 100 at Sharon Speedway. Erick Rudolph made a late pass with three laps to go to take second from Friesen. Billy Decker claimed a fourth-place finish after failing to transfer through his heat race and winning the second Last Chance Qualifier. Pat Ward claimed the final spot inside the top-five after starting 11th.

ROSSBURG, OH – July 19, 2017 – Billy Whittaker started on the pole and drove the cushion to perfection on his way to victory in the Super DIRTcar Series All-Star Showdown at Eldora Speedway on Wednesday night. While it was a non-points race, it was Whittaker’s first Feature win of any kind with the Series. Whittaker built a sizable lead that Brett Hearn and Billy Decker tried to erase, but fell about five car lengths short. Max McLaughlin and Mat Williamson rounded out the top-five. The All-Star Showdown featured the Super DIRTcar Series full-time drivers and the top-six non-regular finishers from the July 18 full points event.

ROSSBURG, OH – July 18, 2017 – Billy Decker started on the pole and dominated all 75 laps on a very fast Eldora Speedway to win the Tuesday Night Tailgate. Decker had to outrun second-starting Pat Ward on a number of mid-race restarts and a final one with 12 laps to go in order to earn his Series-leading third victory of the season. Ward had to be strong in his own right to hold off Matt Sheppard who survived a furious and chaotic battle inside the top-five to claim the final spot on the podium. Brett Hearn and Peter Britten rounded out the top-five.

WEEDSPORT, NY – July 11, 2017 – On a night that honored Northeast Dirt Modifieds new hall of famers, it was potentially two-future Hall of Famers that battled it out for 100-laps in the Hall of Fame 100 at Weedsport Speedway. Tim McCreadie and Stewart Friesen were the class of the field but in the end, it was Friesen who edged out McCreadie for his second Super DIRTcar Series win by a half-car length at the line and to come home $10,000-dollars richer.

PLATTSBURGH, NY – July 6, 2017 – Larry Wight turned in a dominating performance in the Super DIRTcar Series first-ever visit to Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. Wight became the race’s fourth leader when he took the lead from Keith Flach on a lap 31 restart and then dominated the final 69 circuits to earn his first Super DIRTcar Series win of the season. Wight lapped all but the top-five finishers, who included runner-up Max McLaughlin, Jimmy Phelps, Tim Fuller and Pat Ward.

VERNON, NY – July 2, 2017 – Stewart Friesen took the lead from Pat Ward on lap 55 with a pass in the slick outside lane after a lap 45 restart and withstood a fury of action, including a pair of red flags in the final 25 laps to win the New Yorker 100 at Utica-Rome Speedway. It was the first Super DIRTcar Series victory of the season for the Sprakers, NY native and the 24th of his career. Ward kept Friesen honest as he raced within 1.5 seconds until the checkered flag and finished ahead of Tim Fuller, Danny Varin and Billy Decker, who led laps 38 to 45.

MALTA, NY – June 27, 2017 – Larry Wight took the lead from Stewart Friesen on a lap 74 restart, but Tim McCreadie pounded the cushion to go from fourth to the lead on lap 77. McCreadie then led the final 23 laps of Brett Hearn’s 100-lap Big Show 9 to claim the $10,000 winner’s share. Friesen took second and Matt Sheppard took third from Larry Wight when he jumped the cushion late in the race and had to settle for fourth. Hearn rounded out the top-five.

DUNDEE, NY - June 20, 2017 - Billy Decker took the lead from Larry Wight in the outside lane on a lap 68 restart and then fended off numerous challenges from reigning Super DIRTcar Series champion Matt Sheppard over the final 20 laps to win the Ultimate Outlaw 100 at Outlaw Speedway. Decker was strong in lapped traffic and used both the inside and outside lanes to get his second victory of the season. Sheppard and Wight rounded out the podium while Alan Johnson and Erick Rudolph completed the top-five. It was the Series’ first visit to the Dundee, NY track since 1990 when it was known as Black Rock Speedway.

KIRKWOOD, NY - June 11, 2017 - Matt Sheppard took the lead from Tyler Siri on lap 16 and then held off polesitter Brett Hearn on a flurry of late-race restarts to win the Modified 67 anniversary at Five Mile Point Speedway. It was Sheppard's first Super DIRTcar Series win of the season. Jimmy Phelps rounded out the podium for his second-top-five finish of the season.
