The big Labor Day holiday kicks off with Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series action at Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport on Sunday, August 31 and continues with the traditional end of the regular season event at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park in Elbridge on Monday, September 1. Budweiser Twin 54-lap Modified mains presented by Taylor Rental at Cayuga County offer $3,000-to-win each and the Budweiser-backed 110-lapper presented by Honeoye Auto Parts at Rolling Wheels pays the winner $6,000. A guaranteed starting berth in the prestigious Rite Aid 200 Championship race on October 12 of Super DIRT Week XXXVII at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse is at stake in every race.

A handful of extra-distance events on the 2008 DIRTcar Racing NorthEast circuit have been given the green light for teams to use two-way radios in during the coming months.

In each Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series ‘Grand Slam’ event for Big-Block Modifieds and the 358-Modified Championship during Super DIRT Week at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, two-way radios will be allowed.

In 2008, Advance Auto Parts Modified teams can register and practice up to two cars for competition during Super DIRT Week, October 7-12, but only one draw and one time trial per driver will be allowed. All cars entering the grounds must pay an entry fee, including those designated for use as back-ups.

For the second time this season, a tripleheader awaits the stars and cars of the Advance Auto Part Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds. Brewerton Speedway kicks off the action Friday, August 15 with the WHF Racing 100 followed by the F.X. Caprara Car Companies 100 at Can-Am Motorsports Park on Saturday, August 16 and concluding with the 14th Annual Akwesasne Mohawk Casino International 100 at Cornwall Motor Speedway on Sunday, August 17. A guaranteed starting berth in the prestigious Rite Aid 200 Championship race on Oct. 12 of Super DIRT Week XXXVII at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse is also up for grabs all three nights.
