Weedsport, NYNovember 3, 2007 – Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing NorthEast PR Director

World Racing Group announced today Rite Aid Corporation’s sponsorship in 2008 of both the Rite Aid 200 at Super DIRT Week in Syracuse, New York and Rite Aid Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway. The sponsorship is a renewal of Rite Aid’s participation in the premier 200-lap Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified race at Syracuse and brings a new name for the popular World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series race in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“We are proud to become the official sponsor of two major race events: the Rite Aid Outlaw Showdown at The Dirt Track @ Lowe’s Motor Speedway and Rite Aid 200 at Super DIRT Week,” said Jay Ross, Rite Aid vice president of marketing. “These are great, long-standing events with dedicated fans and Rite Aid is thrilled to support these exciting races in 2008.”

Rite Aid’s promotional programs for each event will include driver appearances, show car displays and ticket give-aways at Rite Aid Pharmacies in the Carolinas and the Northeast in conjunction with each event.

“This is a great partnership for our organization and our fans,” said World Racing Group President Tom Deery. “Rite Aid’s promotional support for the Dirt Track event in Charlotte as well as the Rite Aid 200 at Super DIRT Week is appreciated and reciprocated by fans across the entire northeast.”

The Rite Aid Corporation took over sponsorship of Super DIRT Week’s showcase event during the past summer and the headline Advance Auto Parts Series race was renamed the Rite Aid 200. The 37th annual Rite Aid 200 is scheduled for the New York State Fairgrounds on Sunday October 12, 2008, with additional fan promotions leading up to Super DIRT Week XXXVII, Oct. 7-12.

On June 4, 2007, Rite Aid completed its purchase of the Brooks and Eckerd drugstore chains, creating the largest drugstore chain on the East coast and significantly strengthening its position as the third largest national drugstore chain.
